Shamil Design Lab builds every piece to order and ships worldwide. This page explains what a commission costs, how long it takes, and how your piece travels from the studio floor to your wall, floor or ceiling.
The order process
Send the brief
Message the studio on WhatsApp with the car, the room and any reference photos. We reply within two hours.
Concept & quote
We come back with a concept direction, the scale options and a written quote covering the build, the crate and freight to your address.
Advance & build
An agreed advance starts the build. You receive progress photos from the studio floor as the shell is shaped, painted and finished.
Sign-off & crate
Final photos go out for your approval, the balance is settled, and the piece is packed into a purpose-built crate.
Freight & install
We book freight and share the tracking. On arrival, we send installation guidance and can brief your contractor for wall or ceiling-mounted pieces.
What a piece costs
Pieces that are ready to order carry their price on their own page in the shop. Custom commissions are quoted individually, because the cost is driven by:
- — The car and how much of it is reproduced (panel, half-scale, full 1:1 body).
- — The finish: number of paint coats, livery detail, metallic and clear-coat work.
- — Structure and hardware: wall mounts, ceiling rigging, upholstery, lighting.
- — Crating and freight to your country.
You get one written quote covering all of it before any work starts — no surprises added later.
Worldwide shipping
Pieces are packed into purpose-built crates with internal bracing so the painted surface never touches the crate wall. Smaller wall art travels by air courier; furniture and full-scale installations travel as palletised air or sea freight depending on your timeline.
Freight is quoted to your delivery address with the piece. Import duties, customs clearance and local taxes are payable by the buyer in the destination country.

Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Every piece is crated for freight and shipped worldwide from our studio in India. We arrange the crate, the freight booking and the paperwork; import duties and local taxes in the destination country are paid by the buyer.
How is the price of a piece decided?
Pieces listed in the shop show their price on the piece's own page. For a custom commission the price depends on the car, the scale (half-scale, 1:1 or full body), the finish and any lighting or mounting hardware. Send us the car and the room and we quote before any work begins.
How do I pay, and is a deposit required?
Work starts after an advance payment agreed in writing on WhatsApp or email, with the balance due before dispatch. We confirm the exact amounts with your quote.
How long does a piece take to build?
Each piece is hand-built to order, so the build time depends on scale and finish. We confirm a build window in writing with your quote and send progress photos during the build.
Can I customise the car, colour or size?
Yes — that is the point of the studio. Choose the car, the livery, the scale and the finish. Wall art can be sized to your wall, furniture can be built to your seat count, and hanging installations are engineered to your ceiling.
What happens if the piece is damaged in transit?
Pieces travel in a purpose-built crate and are photographed before dispatch. Tell us immediately with photos if a crate arrives damaged and we will work with you and the freight carrier on a repair or replacement.
